" And the day came when the risk

to remain tight in a bud

was more painful than the risk

it took to blossom."

Mindfulness & Meditation

"Enlightenment is not imagining figures of light but making the darkness conscious."

~ Carl Jung ~

Transformation occurs when we create the space in our lives to explore what is within us without judgment. There are a lot of myths and expectations about meditation that intimidate people and prevent them from trying it. There are many ways to meditate, depending on what works for you. Some enjoy sitting meditation, breathing techniques, repetition of mantras or sacred words, singing, moving meditation like walking or yoga , and other conscious movement. Bringing mindfulness and a quality of meditation to our actions, in addition to learning some simple techniques that you can weave into your lifestyle, bring immense benefits.

On a practical and physical level, meditation and conscious breathing lowers blood pressure, reduces stress, improves heart health, and aids in reducing anxiety. I have worked successfully with many people coping with conditions such as Parkinson's, MS, and cancer, just to name a few. The rewards are immediate and cumulative.

I will help you explore and practice the approaches that resonate with you, while honoring any spiritual or religious path you choose to follow.

Mindfulness + Conscious Breathing =

Heart Health

Scientists at the HeartMath Institute have demonstrated a critical link between emotions, heart function, and cognitive performance. From their research they have learned that the heart has many roles that go far beyond merely pumping blood. Here are a few things we know about the heart:

  • The physical heart communicates with the brain.

  • The heart sends more information to the brain than the brain does to the heart.

  • Different emotions create different rhythmic patterns.

  • Heart rhythms can be intentionally shifted to reduce stress.

  • The heart's rhythmic patterns can affect decision making, creativity, emotional experiences, and the ability to self-manage emotions.

  • A coherent heart rhythm pattern increases mental clarity and practical intuition.

By learning and practicing some key conscious breathing techniques, you can begin to influence your heart's rhythms to support optimal emotional, mental,

and physical health!
